Attorney Carlos Jimenez

Carlos L. Jimenez heads up the workers compensation law division of the firm of Kennedy & Jimenez. Mr. Jimenez has been with the KJP firm since 1985..He practices law with an emphasis on Work related accidents as well as Social Security Disability cases.

Mr. Jimenez entered college at Claremont-McKenna College in Claremont, California. While at that University, Carlos participated in their overseas study program. While in that program, he lived with a family in Columbia, following his major as well as learning the language and customs of Columbia. Upon returning from Columbia he transferred to the University of California at Riverside (UCR) and received his Bachelors degree from UCR.

After graduating from UCR, Mr. Jimenez applied to and was accepted at Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts, from which he received his Juris Doctorate (JD) in law. Coming from a very large family which did not have great economic resources, this was a magnificent achievement.

Mr. Jimenez then sat for the California Bar Exam and was admitted as a licensed attorney in June, 1986 From 1986 to 1995 he worked for several law firms which emphasized workers compensation law and personal injury. Carlos Jimenez has helped thousands of workers over the years, fighting for those who have been injured and are in need of strong representation. He has successfully tried cases at the Workers Compensation Appeals Board (WCAB), the WCAB appellate level and at the District Court of Appeals. In addition to trying cases in the WCAB arena, he also has successfully tried many other cases before Social Security Administrative Law Judges for those seeking Social Security Disability benefits.

Like all of the attorneys at the firm, Mr. Jimenez speaks English and Spanish. Carlos continues his ‘people caring’ orientation beyond work hours, being a member of the Board of Directs for Redlands Day Nursery. He also has served as both an assistant and a coach for youth basketball. He also volunteers at St. Frances X. Cabrini Catholic Church.

Mr. Jimenez is married with two children. His wife is in the nursing field and this medical knowledge permeates the work of the Jimenez family. The KJP law firm is proud to have Carlos L.
